"Boat and canoe rental De Merenburger" exists for more than 90 years and started by renting rowing boats/fishing boats, later motorboat, boat trailers, and canoe rental, a small campsite and a marina have been added. You can rent different types of boats with us, for all our boats you do not need a boat license.
You will find us at less than 30 minutes from Leiden, Den-Haag, and Rotterdam.
"De Merenburger" is located in Stompwijk (Municipality of Leidschendam-Voorburg). Stompwijk is part of het Land van Wijk en Wouden. This is the westernmost part of the Green Heart of Holland and is enclosed in the towns ring Zoetermeer, Leidschendam-Voorburg, Leiden and Alphen aan den Rijn. It is a special area, rich in nature, water, traditional Dutch pasture landscapes and cultural history.
With the boat, you have a unique view of this beautiful polder area. Everything looks different from the water.
From boat rental "De Merenburger" you can steer within 10 minutes to the popular recreation area Vlietland, which is popular with fishermen and water sports enthusiasts. Many species of fish are fished, including carp, pike, and zander. At "De Merenburger" you can rent a fishing boat/rowing boat cheaply. You can also opt for a fishing boat, without an outboard engine, for 20, - euro per day (Mon - Fri) or a fishing boat with an outboard engine for 85 euros per day.
You can rent a boat per hour, per day or fixed time frame. You can steer with the motorboat within an hour to Leiden and within 1.5 hours to the Kagerplassen (the Kaag) or Den-Haag. With boat rental "De Merenburger" you can also rent a canoe or rowboat.
We are also open on Sundays and public holidays.
